In this seminar, John-Roger compares how we do our spiritual life with what we do at the dinner table. In other words, there’s a way to eat that doesn’t really benefit the body and there’s a way to treat our spiritual life in a way that doesn’t benefit our Soul. J-R puts it this way, “The message here is watch what you eat and what you look at that eats you!”
“The feeding of the Soul is manna,” he says, “originally from Genesis in the Bible. It means ‘angel’s food.’ The best manna is spiritual exercises. Five minutes a day: That’s all it takes. The second best is probably meditation, and the third would probably be prayer. The fourth would be contemplation, and the fifth would be intellectual information and books. Probably the sixth would be community gathering.”
If you’re wondering where you are on the scale of nourishment for your Soul, you could check out this seminar. J-R shows you how to make sure the ‘nutritional value’ is high!
