Here is a fascinating seminar in which John-Roger puts a clear magnifying glass on how we human beings are wired to do our best to control our outer world. He starts by describing how newborns manipulate their caregivers… how our ego is out there from the first breath, trying to shape and control our world.
“My job is the old ego cracker,” J-R says. “We come out in the world seeking for power: organizing an army; running for political office; becoming a thief; demanding that people give us what we think we want. We do all sorts of things seeking for power in this world. And yet, anybody who gains power in this world must lose it. Oh yes, you’re going to die. At some point, you find out that your power is not out there in the world.”
Well, then, where does that leave us? On the threshold to the inner kingdom, of course. In this seminar, J-R takes us from this threshold to behold that to which we are heirs. Our inner being. And from that place of understanding, we can turn and look back out through the portal at ourselves, our egos in the world, and see the ego and all in the world are the Face of God.
