To receive, you must be active. Keep in mind your purpose. You will receive in direct proportion to your clarity of vision, your definiteness of purpose, the steadiness of your faith, and the depth of your gratitude.

This golden age is going to be an age of love; so if you can foster this child-like attitude of openness in your children toward you as parents and toward the teacher, the pastor, the policeman, and so forth, you will be creating the golden age for yourself and your kids.

It's okay to plan ahead, but don't emotionalize ahead. You can use your imagination without projecting emotions into the future: without fretting, worrying, anticipating troubles, and thereby actually creating troubles for yourself. It is so easy to make ourselves sick by continuing to focus on our negativity, our judgments, our guilt, and our upset. So when those feelings appear, observe them. When a distraction appears, observe it. When your hand comes up in front of your face, observe it. If a fly buzzes around and is coming at you, observe it. But instead, many people cry, "Oh my God, here comes a fly, it is carrying disease!" Then they are off and running.

You are chosen of great love from God, because the nature of coming to this physical level is one where graduation is at hand, where you are allowed to walk out of that which has confined you, which is really to walk to Spirit and to be liberated. And as this great interest in love comes forward into your life, it is because you are choosing back to God.

No one can go up the scale without taking someone else with them. As you grow in your love and become an example of a shining Light, you affect those around you.

If you want a successful relationship, you might learn how to discipline the mind so that it holds a focus on what you want, rather than react to mental constructs that may not have much to do with your heart.

When people stop to listen and the mind becomes quiet, they sometimes will go to sleep out of habit. The better choice is to hold yourself alert and awake and to just listen. Listen for what comes forward out of the silence. Listen past the inner conversations of your mind. If things start to distract and disrupt you, bring your focus back to the silence. As many times as the silence is broken, you can refocus on listening to the silence one more time. When you bring yourself into the silence, you can then experience the knowing and the wisdom that will start flowing. Then people often want to comment mentally on the experience, or they feel a need to write it down. But that in itself becomes a distraction that can shut off the silence.
