Realize that you are learning how to deal with negativity, and that these kinds of experiences are teaching you. That's the good news: the negativity is teaching you to be strong. It's teaching you to be capable in your life so you choose what's on purpose for you and don't allow things that don't work for you, that cause you conflict, to reside in you. Don't allow yourself to hold on to conflicts. It's a self-discipline. - John Morton, D.S.S.

When your purpose and direction is Soul Transcendence, you will be moving up into God no matter what, so that no matter where you turn, no matter how dark your consciousness becomes, no matter how much shifting, moving, or changing goes on, you'll eventually end up back in alignment. - John Morton, D.S.S. Communicate to children that you love and adore them fully. We do that with more than words, which is the least way but still important. We need to find ways and words to let our children know that they are unconditionally loved. Care for them even when you forget how. So remind them: "When I forgot in this way or in that way, my unconditional love for you is really what it is about." Make sure that this is the reference point they have when you give up this day, that you can rest well, knowing the children know you love them. If you ever attempt to let go of this day and consider, "I don't know if they really know I love them," consider how you can get your love to them in some way. If nothing else, ask God to be the messenger. - John Morton, D.S.S. (From: "Fatherhood: The Leading Edge of Growth", New Day Herald at http://www.ndh.org/template.php3?ID=353)

It also takes a whole lot of devotion and dedication to move through all the conditioned states that are going to come forward for you to deal with in spiritual exercises. But in the long run, it's going to serve you. - John Morton, D.S.S.

One of the things that I have learned how to do in the process of discovering how parenting works is to take myself off any idea that I'm in a superior position. One of the mistakes I've found with myself and other parents is that we somehow consider, "I'm supposed to know here. I'm the one who knows. I'm the authority here. I'm the one in charge. I'm the one in control because I said so." I think we are in a position to temper that whole thing so that we are aware of a divinely guiding conscience and consciousness such that we are placed in a position to lead and to conduct the direction and the order of the family. It is our turn in a way. And as it is our turn, then it is a great responsibility to do it in a consciousness that respects who the people in the family are rather than imposes my standards, my conditioning, my wants as though, "Well, because I have the position of leadership here, we are going to do it my way." That's not really the correct way to lead in the family. The correct way is, "What's going to serve us here?" That has a relative order to it that goes according to who has greatest need. The whole family is called upon to line up where that greatest need is. - John Morton, D.S.S.

When you see the Lord, catch up. When you stray the Lord is prepared to follow you and follows wherever you go calling to you to come to where you belong, waiting ever patiently until you choose to return. - John Morton, D.S.S.

The evidence is, you're here now. And this is a place of protection. This is a place where all Souls are embraced, held like a babe in the arms that is newly born and welcomed as the Promised One, the One who God has spoken of through all time. - John Morton, D.S.S. There is a tribe in Africa that captures monkeys by having the monkey grab a salt rock through a small opening of a termite mound. The monkeys would get captured because they would not let go of the salt rock and move to freedom. Living in limited beliefs can bring results you likely do not want. You have an opportunity instead to live in freedom. - John Morton, D.S.S.

If you are having difficulties in a relationship, look at whether you are trying to control the person and wanting them to be different than they are. Set them free, allow them to behave the way they behave. It is not your place to interfere with their life expression as much as it is your place to not allow interference to your life expression. Have you considered that this is a test for you? Have you considered how you would pass the test? Look for the living truth. Relax and be patient as you experience the living truth. Always be loving in all ways. - John Morton, D.S.S.

We work with what is present. Move into the aspect of the present - the transcendent present - getting beyond the obvious and the mundane to that which is the greater reality which exists in Spirit. What's on this side in the world? Often limiting beliefs, attitudes, positions, etc., that our parents and others gave to us. Baby elephants in the circus were tied to wooden stakes so they could not get away. As the elephants matured, they would still be tied to the stake even though they had outgrown it in strength and could easily have pulled up the stake if they tried. We are not bound by the past. We can learn from the past and move on to the greater. - John Morton, D.S.S.

Your goodness is reborn with each breath. So just keep it up as best you can. All the rest is taken care of with the finesse that is the grace of God, with a little help from some friends near and dear, and when far, still as close as your next breath. - John Morton, D.S.S.

We have a willingness to profess God is amongst us. When we're willing to unmask, we bare our Souls. When Souls bare themselves, it's a communion of Souls, and the One who does delivers us home. - John Morton, D.S.S.

As we realize that Spirit is amongst us, something sacred and holy comes upon us. This is a safe place to come as children of God, as we take responsibility for the love of God, it transcends any disturbance we encounter. As we share our Divinity together we become people who care about others, and don't have to hold up any pretense. - John Morton, D.S.S.

In these economic times, people are afraid they could lose their job. Even to talk about this is disconcerting. However, knowing it is an opportunity to focus - not on what you fear, but on the positive, on what you want more of in your life - is the blessing. - John Morton, D.S.S.

The people in a relationship to the Mystical Traveler are in a mystery school - there is a mystery to what we're doing, because we are involved with the consciousness of the Divine beyond this world. If you look at this world through the filter of the mind, it is obscured and mysterious. How would you know the truth? You must be true to your purpose, and limit the distractions to the material world. Within your Soul you have the eyes to see and ears to hear. - John Morton, D.S.S.

Interesting how it is said that both God and the devil are in the details. I find that once all the details involving God are considered, that the devil is nowhere to be found. - John Morton, D.S.S.
