You might ask, "God, are you ready?" Maybe God is not ready and responds, "Excuse me, I am still getting dressed. I did not have my breakfast yet. I did not get enough sleep last night." Can you imagine God responding like that? If you can, your God is too small. Those are just conditions. People can use any condition to decide, "I am not ready, I am not prepared, I am not going to. No! I refuse." Even that is a temporary condition because, sooner or later, something will happen and you will have to move. Your bowels will move, or you will need to take your next breath. You will not be able to avoid responding to the conditions present. If it is not one condition, it will be another, so you might as well handle your current condition with thankfulness and loving.-John Morton, DSS
