One person at a time, we can collectively make a difference and move our caring and concern to be more inclusive and supportive of one another. Anyone can choose to act with greater concern and caring for another. It is the Golden Rule brought to bear. We are to be our brothers' and sisters' keepers. We are to love one another with greater might in body, mind, and Soul. We are to do unto others as we would want to be done unto in the very best ways. We are to love this earth in all its elements and nature. We are to live in harmony and do what we can to restore what has been taken out of balance. We are to love it all and bless it all. - John Morton, D.S.S. When you are taking care of yourself well, it naturally follows that you will be helping take care of others. So give from the value of what you have received. Give to somebody else or in some way as a contribution to the world. Being someone who has received and processed life experience, you are now in a position to impart that value to those who are gaining life experience -- to the young, to the children, to those who are experiencing and learning what someone else like you has already accomplished. The more you can do that, then the more your life becomes a manifestation of taking care of others and being of service. - John Morton, D.S.S. As we reach out to others, we will meet up with our limitations. We will find that we are doing work that we do not know how to do completely. In the Bible it says, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). We are called upon to be open to doing God's work as co-creators, which can be humbling to acknowledge that we would be chosen for such an almighty purpose. Let this purpose therefore be simple that we may begin wherever we find ourselves. Find the good. Increase the good. - John Morton, D.S.S. I know that we have the power and authority to change how we personally relate to the world, and that can be done any way we can. There are qualities in service, in caring and giving to others, that transcend our differences and make life in this world, regardless of what happens afterwards, nicer. - John Morton, D.S.S. I do not consider that any of us truly has the power to change the nature of the world, regardless of how much we would like to make the world change its ways. The nature of the world is perfect. Like clay in our hands, our choices mold and shape what is to become and soon enough the results have become what we have chosen to make from our clay. - John Morton, D.S.S. (Adapted from: You Are the Blessings, p. 172-173, John Morton's new book available on Amazon.com at http://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Blessings-Meditations-Reflections/dp/1893020460/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210017957&sr=1-1) You Are the Blessings Webcast Class Series with John Morton -- Part 1: Know God & Know Who You Are - Saturday, July 26, 2008, 1:00pm-3:30pm pacific daylight time at http://www.msia.org/live

One of my favorite rallying calls is, "Let's go out and do some good!" Something about those words frees me up. Being of service, doing "good works," calls upon us to get beyond our own boundaries and limitations. Let us resolve that regardless of what we choose to do today, whatever that may be -- go on a picnic or go to our friend at their time of need -- let's do some good. - John Morton, D.S.S. (From: You Are the Blessings, p. 172, John Morton's new book available on Amazon.com at http://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Blessings-Meditations-Reflections/dp/1893020460/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210017957&sr=1-1) You Are the Blessings Webcast Class Series with John Morton -- Part 1: Know God & Know Who You Are - Saturday, July 26, 2008, 1:00pm-3:30pm pacific daylight time at http://www.msia.org/live

You can bring the blessings of who you are to any situation simply through your loving and compassion. Smiling at people is a great service. Exercise the fathomless patience that is yours to put forth regardless of what they do or don't do, say or don't say. Tell your story as best you can and let go and let God. Find what Christ Jesus would do and do just that. Whatever is the karma will work out. Do your part once and for all so it does not need to repeat or be visited again. Be done such that peace everlasting is your companion. You will rest well when the day is done. - John Morton, D.S.S. Do this simple exercise. Think only of God, what God is, who God is in relation to you and all of your life. Think of resolution, peace, thriving, spreading joy, spreading health, taking care of the Lord's children. Remember the example from Jesus in the Bible -- if He cares for the birds of the air and the lilies in the field, surely He is taking care of you, as in protecting you and providing for every need (Matthew 6:25-34). If in your challenges He is also raising you to be a finer more correct human being full of His integrity, be glad, celebrate, for you are most blessed to be in His field of attention. - John Morton, D.S.S. When there is personal past negative creation, as is often the nature of karma, then the way to clear and complete the karma often deals in conditions that reflect and manifest the nature of the past creation. Keep your focus on the nature of the Lord, the loving, the forgiving, the trust in God such that the negativity shall pass and completion through fulfillment is done. - John Morton, D.S.S. Pain is a messenger that can relate to many levels. Practically, for physical pain, check the physical first, then move onto checking out the psychic levels as best you can. With any form of karma, which equals the law of cause and effect, what is needed is learning and growing such that the condition that communicates through pain is no longer necessary and can and must be cleared. Physically, this can take awhile, especially a body born condition which also could turn out to be a body die condition, meaning stays with the body until the body is done, and the condition dies with the body. In Soul transcendence, you have the opportunity to become conscious in the higher levels so you can both observe and clear the condition when that serves your upliftment, learning and growth. You can also request assistance through grace from the higher consciousness that transcends into God. Practically, love the pain, love the elbow, love whatever is the cause that is manifesting in the conditions that come to you. Trust that those conditions that remain are always on purpose with your upliftment, learning and growth. Therefore, the ground rule appears once again, Use Everything for Your Upliftment, Learning, and Growth. - John Morton, D.S.S. In feeling sorry there is judgment that a situation should not be what it already is, which then becomes resistance and lack of appreciation for God's perfection and overwhelming good. Feeling sorry is a sign of misinterpretation and misunderstanding. Look instead for acceptance and trust which lead to compassion for all and joy that fills and overflows you. - John Morton, D.S.S. Regardless of your story, regardless of where you have come from and what you have brought with you now, there are choices. There are new opportunities for you and everyone. In that way, we're all sharing anew. There are some important, vital things for us to do. We are to forgive ourself and forgive one another, love ourself and love one another. That's about as complicated or simple as it gets. Choosing not to forgive and love makes it complicated. Choosing to forgive and love makes it simple and, ultimately, easy, as we fully choose to forgive and love all. - John Morton, D.S.S.
