You would likely feel better about yourself simply by being involved with uplifting things. Do things that work for you and others. Start out by finding something simple to do so you can contribute. Even selling things from a tin cup can be a contribution by helping to provide what others can use. By interpreting that things that are not present should be present or vice versa you set yourself up for frustration and discouragement. It's fine to imagine what you can become if you can see how to apply yourself now even in some seemingly small way. Imagining works to create. Look for the next steps involved in creating what you want. Look for the enthusiasm that comes with your experience of making progress. - John Morton, D.S.S.

Q. How can I let go of the grief and pain of my experience? A. Attachment is part of the ordinariness of the human condition as the mind and emotions tend to do this with whatever is your involvement and focus in the world. You can assist yourself by focusing on your gratitude instead of your attachment. Be patient as your "wound" heals from your sense of loss. You can receive assistance from within by calling upon the comfort and wisdom of the Spirit. - John Morton, D.S.S.

When you are confronted by your attachments to what you want or don't want, you have an opportunity to relax and be patient as you look to the good and serve what you know is good going towards the highest good. - John Morton, D.S.S.

We need to surf the energy and conditions in the world in order for us to come into our full potential. We need to be ever more disciplined and willing to focus upon the positive regardless. Just do it. Then from our co-creatorship with God, energy follows our focus/thoughts and becomes manifestation. By our willingness to see the positive in the midst of negative distortion we can keep our vision acute and attuned to the clarity that is Spirit. - John Morton, D.S.S.

We can love our brothers and sisters right now. We can love our neighbors as we love ourselves. We can love our enemies. I encourage you to take that to heart, without exception. We all can be more in and of the spirit of who we are. We can be more about loving and caring for one another in the way the Lord loves us. As we choose to love regardless, we can then say in truth, in joy, and with conviction, "Yes. I am my brother's keeper." - John Morton, D.S.S. We are all tested in our commitment, dedication, and devotion in relation to our Soul and Spirit. Look more to what you can do to help create what serves your Soul. Be willing to check things out. Pay attention and be open to unexpected opportunities that Spirit provides for your learning, upliftment and growth. - John Morton, D.S.S.

Prayer is an opportunity to resonate with all your mind and beingness. What am I going to utter to God? Maybe it is time for listening, time to hear from my consciousness and commune with the Divine. What is on purpose now? Where does my purpose lead? - John Morton, D.S.S.

Lord, give me strength, patience, and understanding. I accept. I cooperate. If there's a way I can go beyond what You require, I choose to make it even better. - John Morton, D.S.S.

Prayer is an adventure and discovery process. What can you do to be attuned with the infinite? Let go of your concepts and come to prayer open to revelation. Present yourself in prayer as open so you may be in a place to behold what is the living truth. - John Morton, D.S.S.

It is best not to judge that you should be any different than you are. Your body and consciousness are very positively responsive to your acceptance and understanding of whatever you are experiencing. - John Morton, D.S.S. Be kind to yourself. You can always begin by stopping the self criticism, the chronic "shoulding on yourself" to be different. Strive to appreciate your experience of who you are physically and otherwise. Caring for yourself is an excellent way to become even better. - John Morton, D.S.S. You might want to allow yourself to enjoy the night watch when that is what is occurring for you. Focus on getting your rest so you are rejuvenated. Worrying, any form of internal concern toward the negative, will interfere with your conscious experience of Spirit. Learn to watch, which is another way to experience observation and holding with Spirit. Spirit still takes care of what is needed for you, always. So relax, you're not in control and the One who is takes perfect care of you. - John Morton, D.S.S. In the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness our purpose is Soul transcendence which includes the realization that we are not our bodies. Our true nature is the Soul which is in the world but not of the world. Our destiny is to complete with the world so our consciousness is entirely in the Spirit. - John Morton, D.S.S. Your life and who you are is not about nonsense like fear, violence, or being hurt. That need not be on your agenda. When you really understand who you are, you will find a caring that transcends what happens to your body. You will understand that matters of the Spirit are more important than matters of the world. What really matters is who you are eternally after you leave this world. Your Soul transcends anything physically, which means it is destined to be free of the physical world and whatever is negative in nature. - John Morton, D.S.S. I like to remind people who have difficulty with forgiving that there is something selfish about it. It is a way to your own healing. If you're not so well, if you're not so happy, if there's something bothering you, forgiveness can be a great way to nurture you and to take care of what ails you. It's been found by many that as we forgive, miracles happen. And if those of us who are here in the flesh were to consider what's going on in the world and how we are treating one another, we would find that we're not always forgiving. We're not always letting go, we're not always giving somebody the benefit rather than the doubt, or worse. - John Morton, D.S.S.
